The Expo in the Turkish city Antalya is the planned World Horticultural Exposition, to be organized in 2016. It will be an AIPH A1 exposition and also the 20th horticultural exposition to be recognized by the Bureau International des Expositions.

We were invited by the Dutch government to make the concept, design and details for the Dutch Entry for this exposition.

We have been inspired by the flowing lines of historical Dutch city parks like the Vondel Park. Slightly bent paths creating an alternating image through the garden with a natural mix of plants. A broadening in the pathways is creating a central plaza which is surrounded by benches. On this plaza there will be Dutch tulip chairs.

A straight element in the shape of a square with a glass house construction is creating a sharp contrast with the smooth lines. In this glass house construction will be a temporary exhibition around the tulip. It refers to the fact that the first tulip in Holland was imported from Turkey. The exposition will show the evolution of this original tulip.

After the Horticultural Exposition the area will be a city park for the inhabitants and tourists.
